Striped California Kingsnake - Lampropeltis getula californiae

King Snakes (Lampopeltis sp) are native to Southern USA and are called Kings because they are immune to Rattle Snake bites and can overcome and kill a Rattle Snake making them the "King" of snakes in their region. Their normal wild colour is black and yellow banding, but they are also bred with stripes and as albinos (pink and yellow).

They grow to about 4 feet and are generally docile in nature and one of the most popular snakes kept in captivity.
