Experienced Aquarist / Fish Keeper

York Road, Leeds

 
 

We are looking for an Experienced Aquarist for our Aquatic & Pet Centre on York Road.

Experience is essential though very experienced hobbyists will also be considered.

The position is full time (9am to 6pm,
5 over 7 days a week).

Part Time positions are also available.

Duties will include the daily care of the Cold Water, Tropical, and Marine Fish in our Aquatic Department as well as assisting customers with their enquiries and purchases.

The ideal candidate will have a good knowledge of Cold Water and Tropical Fish and must be dedicated to their care. Ideally they will be experienced in all aspects of fish keeping including filtration, water quality, diseases etc, and must be able to communicate that knowledge easily to our broad range of customers from the beginner to the more experienced aquarists.

( Experience with Marine Fish and/or Reptiles would be an advantage. )

Experienced Reptile Keeper

York Road, Leeds

Duties will include the daily care of the reptiles and invertebrates in our Reptile Room as well as assisting customers with their enquiries and purchases also helping in the efficient running of the pet centre in other departments.

The ideal candidate will have a good knowledge of reptiles and other tropical pets and must be dedicated to their care.

( Experience in Aquatics would be an advantage. )

Driver/Warehouse Operative

Must be fit, active and enthusiastic and an interest in animals etc would be beneficial. The successful applicant will be working a 40 hour week which will include Saturdays.

Based at our Warehouse in Leeds 9.

Varied work including some maintenance work, checking off deliveries etc, and delivering goods to our branches and customers and occasionally assisting in one of our stores (Never boring).

Any age considered though must be over 21. Would probably suite a “Jack of all Trades” type of person.
