Cuban Knight Anole - Anolis equestris

The Largest and most spectacular of the Anole family, the Cuban Knight Anole. This impressive lizard can grow up to 20 inches from head to tail and are often found sitting in trees in their native habitat in Cuba as well as mainland USA where they have been introduced.

They can change their colours dramatically from blues, greens and turquoise and the males have an imprssively large pink dewlap ( the flap of skin under the throat can be extended at will ) that he displays when threatened and to attract a mate.
